Communist guerrillas have killed four unarmed, off-duty soldiers in the southern Philippines in the latest flare-up of the 43-year insurgency, military officials recently .

At least 10 suspected New People's Army guerrillas opened fire with M16 rifles on the soldiers in the rural outskirts of Davao city late Sunday afternoon, initially killing three soldiers, regional military spokeswoman Maj. Rosa Maria Cristina Manuel said.

The rebels dragged another soldier to a rice field and fatally shot him. Troops found his body on Monday, she said.

"Army soldiers were deployed to rescue him because we thought they would just hold him. But they apparently executed him in the field," Manuel told The Associated Press by telephone.

The soldiers were traveling on motorcycles on the way back to camp from a public market when they were attacked, she said.

The attack was staged in Davao city's Paquibato district in an impoverished region where the Maoist guerrillas have been most active and lethal in recent years.

Communist rebels lobbed a grenade toward an army detachment in Paquibato in September, but the explosive hit a protective net and bounced toward a nearby crowd of villagers watching a circus performance, wounding 48 people. The rebels apologized and compensated the victims.

The four decade Marxist rebellion, one of Asia's longest-running, has left more than 120,000 people dead and held back progress in poverty-wracked rural regions in the country. The simmilar things are happening in India and Columbia also . The rebels are getting all kinds of secret support from China , North Karea and Vietnam . Without support from communist countries , it would not be possible to launch massive attacks on police . In Odisha province of India , all communist and left parties are opposing POSCO , a south Korean company in establishing a mega steel plant and a new port near Paradeep an axistng port town with secret support from North Korea . This is high time for communist counties to adopt the path of democracy for happiness and safety of mankind . The Russian people are now enjoying full freedom, happiness and peaceful family life in a democratic atmosphere . Common people in India , Philipines ,Columbia and other counties affected by communist insurgency  are now heavily influenced by the peaceful and happy family life of the people in Russia in a full and complete democratic atmosphere . At least the common people of Russia have forgotten their past history and are enjoying democracy in Russia so much so that aleast some of them are now demanding complete ban of communist party in Russia. In recent years , the people in USA have faced many economic crisis and failure of large number of banks resulting in a lot of sorrow and unhappiness in their family lives . But there is no economic crisis in Russia and the common people of Russia are enjoying decent and happy family life in a full democratic atmosphere forgetting their past history . Most of the Russians are going to Church and are praying to Jesus Christ and above all God  for their continuing happiness in a complete democratic atmosphere . The communism in Russia has become a thing of the past . A DAY WILL COME WHEN THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD WOULD START TO EMULATE THE SMALL AND HAPPY OF RUSSIAN FAMILY LIFE . WE KNOW THAT MANY RUSSIANS ARE WORKING HARD IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES AND ARE SENDING MONEY TO THEIR KITH AND KINS IN RUSSIA TO SUPPORT THEIR FAMILY LIFE . THEY DO NOT WANT TO ENTER INTO POLITCS OF COMMUNISM WHICH HAD RESULTED IN MASS KILLING OF LAKHS OF THEIR ANCESTORS . THE YOUNG PEOPLE IN RUSSIA ARE READING IN PUBLIC SHOOLS AND COLLEGES IN A COMPLETE AND PEACEFUL DEMOCRATIC ATMOSPHERE , WHILE THE STUDENTS IN USA ARE KILLED BY ARMED GUNMAN IN THEIR SCHOOL AND COLLEGE CAMPUSES . ATLEAST THE RULERS IN USA SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT HAPPY FAMILY LIFE AND DEMOCRACY ARE INSEPARABLE FROM EACH OTHER . JUST LIKE RUSSIAN PEOPLE ALL AMERICANS AND INDIANS SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS NO BETTER ALTERNATIVE TO DEMOCRACY . RUSSIAN PEOPLE HAVE NOW UNDERSTOOD THAT SLOGAN FOR SOCIALISM IS A TOOL FOR THE COMMUNISTS TO RETURN TO POWER AGAIN .

      Happy, peaceful and decent family life is an important ingredient of  democracy . Freedom , happiness and full unfolding of peaceful family life are basic structures of democracy .

The military in Philipines says the rebels' ranks have thinned to about 4,000 from more than 25,000 in the mid-1980s because of battle setbacks, surrenders and factionalism.
